About Me

I enjoy running, working out, snowboarding, traveling, meeting new people, discovering great new restaurants and living life to the fullest.  I am a NASM certified personal trainer and fully enjoy helping others reach their health and fitness goals.  This blog is titled “Kristin Running” because, well, I’m always running.  Whether I’m actually running-running, or just hustling between events, commitments, work and social activities, my life is full.  “Kristin Running” is just what I am and I hope to share running and fitness tips, along with inspirational stories about life, love and the pursuit of health happiness.

Some of my favorite quotes…

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” – Dr. Seuss

“In the moments you want to give up, you find what you’re really made of.” – A quote on a support sign I saw during the San Diego full marathon.

“The fact that we can make disastrous decisions even as we foresee their consequences is the great, unsolved mystery of human behavior.  If you hold the world in your hands, why would you make a fist?” – Starbucks Coffee Cup

“Maybe some women aren’t meant to be tamed. Maybe they’re supposed to run wild until they find someone — just as wild — to run with.” – Carrie Bradshaw

“We make a million decisions that mean nothing, and then one day you order take out and it changes your life” – Meg Ryan, Sleepless in Seattle

“If you want your life to be a magnificent story, then begin by realizing that you are the author and everyday you have the opportunity to write a new page” – Unknown

  3. Hey Kristin!

Not sure you remember me, I think you went to Chico State with me. I was in the Journalism Department with you. I believe I was the Mac Lab Supervisor when you were in 151 or something.

I see you are running like crazy! I am too! Just finished my fourth marathon and have another three months from today. I found your blog through Aron’s blog, which I was turned to by my friend Amy who runs here in Sacramento.

    Hope you are doing well.
    Take care,
    Laura Langerwerf
